Marthanne Linacre
Marthanne loves all types of photography and has a camera at arm's reach at all times. Being a water sign she is drawn to all things water. Winter in the northeast provides snowflakes, ice covered foliage and frozen bubbles. Abstract ice designs are everywhere. With Astrophotography comes solar eclipses, meteor showers and the Milkyway for a different challenge. She finds that a macro lens for bugs and flowers is fun too. Whether home or travelling, hiking or kayaking each brings more opportunities for birding, wildlife, and landscapes. An avid gardener, which she finds very grounding, photography helps connect her to all the beauty of Nature.
Her artwork has been awarded several prizes in juried shows: Best in Show, 3 First places, and 3rd and 4th place wins.
